Job Description

Position:        Cell Leader Block Valve                             Business Unit:    Crane Energy Flow Solutions

Segment:       Fluid Handling                                             Location:             Houston, TX  

Reports To:   Site Leader                                                  Department:        Operations

Basic Function:

The Cell Leader position coordinates workload throughout the block valve cell, supervises and coordinates manpower in a manner that will execute efficiently, keeping Safety and Quality the priority.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Prioritizes work load in the block valve cell to meet customer due dates
• Works hands-on repairing, assembling and testing various types of block valves
• Verifies valve repair documentation is complete and accurate
• Troubleshoots problem valves and/or equipment to get to root cause of issue
• Leads weekly safety meetings
• Leads safety and 5S audits of the block valve cell
• Performs work in other areas as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications & Required Skills:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Minimum five (5) years block valve experience
• Supervisory experience
• Basic machining experience a plus (facing flanges, turning stems/shafts, machining wedges)
• Good communication skills
• Good planning skills
• OEM training a plus
